L.A. duo Magic Bronson formally celebrated the release of their new EP “Evil Plans” on Monday night, opening their residency with a bang by playing the lead single “Nervous,” the title track, their banging 2016 single “Wake Up” and more.

Leading into the headliners, L.A. quintet Bone Acre was a revelation, Caroline Heerwagen’s colossal vocals busting through her band’s wall of incendiary desert rock. Their album “Oll Korrect” is only available on vinyl thus far.

The Time Travelers rocked a boisterous set to open night, and EasyFriend closed it out with a set that included their new single “Taste.”

I was a real treat to see @thetimetravelersmusic as part of @magicbronson ‘s Night one of their residency this month at @thesatellitela . Their combo heavy rock (describing influences of Mars Volta and Kings of Leon) and intense, emotive vocals (with equally intense eye expressions!) led by frontman Sherif Serag (who immigrated from Egypt as a child) will have you wrapped up in their set from start to finish. Icing on the cake was they asked one of my favorite female local musicians @vavaenvivo to join them for a cover of Radiohead’s ‘Creep.’ Lucky to have them local abc look forward to seeing them again soon.👌🏻

Mondays are always difficult, but it’s not a reason to not go out! I rarely do so, but last Monday at the Satellite was just spectacular.

Magic Bronson Mondays in December Residency @thesatellitela. Night one turned into a good old dance party, high energy electronic tracks with Matt’s bass and a good drummer behind Michael’s charismatic vocals and performance whipping the crowd into a frenzy. Good and fun! Make it out to at least one of their December shows!I’ve seen EasyFriend several times but never with Eric on electric guitar and Matt on bass, with a drummer and a side of Marissa. A bigger sound, I liked it!My first time seeing Bone Acre, pretty dark vibe with roaring guitars and a magnetic frontwoman in Caroline Heerwagen, who’s deep vocals, personal lyrics, and restrained-then-explosive performance style are very interesting. I will definitely see them again. The Time Travelers’s guitar centered Indie-Rock with Sherif’s intense vocals kicked off the evening in hard rockin’ style. With show buddies Beatsthatsetmypulse and @the6660s, several notables, and my newest favorite friend @erikamuelle, Monday Residencies are the best! 💚
